The $3 find that fixed my Friday night dinners for good
Last month I grabbed a dented box of vintage silver-plated flatware at a church sale in Dayton for $3. Polished it with cheap toothpaste and baking soda, looked like a million bucks. Cooked a frozen lasagna on paper plates one night but served it with those forks and my roommate actually said it felt like a real restaurant. Now I keep an eye out for tarnished sets at every thrift stop, who else hunts for silverware with bad patina instead of buying new?
