Frozen veggie bags finally won me over after 2 years of doubt
I used to think frozen mixed vegetables were a cop-out, especially after my mom in Columbus swore fresh was the only way. Last month I grabbed a 99 cent bag of frozen peas and carrots for a soup and honestly couldn't tell the difference once it was cooked. Anyone else find frozen stuff actually saves more money than the farmer's market haul, or am I just getting lazy?
Is it just me, or does the bag last forever compared to fresh stuff that rots in the drawer by Tuesday? That 99 cents basically buys you three meals, and you never have to play the "is this still good" guessing game.
