Update: My dad's 1998 road atlas got me across Montana when my phone had no signal
Last summer I drove from Missoula to Billings and lost cell service for about 90 miles, so I pulled out the old paper atlas my dad kept in the glove box since 1998. I found every small town diner and free camping spot marked in his handwriting, and I did not pay a single cent for gas station map apps or data the whole trip. Does anyone else still keep a paper map in the car, or am I the only one who thinks they are worth the space?
