A craft fair in Portland changed how I pick sticker fonts
Last month I set up at a small craft fair in Portland and watched people walk right past my table. My designs were all 8+ word sayings in thin, fancy script. Nobody even slowed down to read them. Then a girl picked up a simple 3 word sticker in bold block letters and laughed out loud. I redid my whole inventory that week with short, thick fonts and my online sales nearly doubled. Has anyone else seen way better results with fewer words on a sticker?
Wait, longer sayings in fancy script are how you show off actual craft... that's the whole point of a handmade sticker table, people who get it will stop and read.
