PSA: I thought those 'baby on board' signs were pointless until I saw the crash report photos
I make stickers for a living and I always lumped those yellow baby on board signs in with the fake bullet holes and the Calvin decals, just cheap noise. Then a friend of mine who works at a body shop here in Boise showed me photos from a highway wreck where a minivan got rear ended at about 40 mph. The driver of the truck behind said he saw the sign and hit the brakes sooner, and the fire crew told my friend the car seat in back came through with barely a scratch on it. That story sat with me for a week. Now I keep a stack of my own plain yellow design in the car and hand them out free to anyone with a newborn, no charge. I still think most bumper stickers are jokes, but that one does a job. If you sell stickers, do you ever make something you didn't believe in at first?
