The difference in my drawer boxes after I switched from a 1/4" to a 1/2" dado
I was building a big kitchen job about three months ago and kept having a tiny bit of wobble in the drawer boxes. I was cutting the bottom panel grooves with a 1/4" bit like I always had. Last week, I tried a 1/2" dado stack on a test box just to see, and the panel sits so much tighter with zero side-to-side play. It took me maybe an extra five minutes per box to adjust the setup, but the finished feel is way more solid. Anyone else find a small change in their joinery that made a big difference in the final piece?

Come on now, bettykim, don't get swept up. That "find" looks totally fake. Remember the "moss green" console that turned out to be just a bad filter on a photo? Or the "limited edition" clear controller that was a custom shell someone made in their garage? This has the same vibe. The lighting in the picture is off, and the color seems to blend too perfectly. I'd need to see it in a real store, held by a real person, before I believe a word of it.

Wait, they actually had it in that color? Thought that was just a rumor from last year. The whole thing looked like a photoshop job to me. Honestly still not sure if I believe it.
