My brother called my cable setup a spider graveyard

He came over last week and said my TV stand looked like a bunch of dead spiders behind it. That hit different. So I spent 2 hours pulling everything out and labeling each cord with those little bread tie tags. Then I bundled them with velcro strips every 6 inches. Total cost was 8 bucks for the tags and velcro at Home Depot. Has anyone else had a family member roast their setup into actually fixing it?

Nah, I kind of see this differently. Your brother did you a favor really. My dad called my desk cables a "rat king" a few years back and I just ignored him until the power strip melted from dust buildup. Velcro strips and bread tags are cheap insurance, beats buying a new TV stand because the old one caught fire. You probably saved yourself a headache down the line.

Holy crap, wait... a power strip actually melted on you? I'm sitting here looking at my own cable disaster zone thinking you're messing with me but that's terrifying.
