I spent $40 on a camp stove that only worked on one trip and now I want to warn people
I bought a cheap folding camp stove at a hardware store in Reno last month because my old one finally gave out. First trip out near Lake Tahoe it worked fine, cooked two meals without any problems. Second trip, the thing wouldn't light at all, even with a fresh canister, and I ended up eating cold beans out of a can. I brought it back to the store and they said no returns on used gear, so that $40 is just gone. Has anyone else had a stove die on them after one trip, and what did you switch to that actually holds up?
