Just realized that $12 foam sleeping pad beats my $80 inflatable one

I picked up a cheap closed cell foam pad at a garage sale in Boise two summers ago just to use as a seat around camp, and I honestly laughed at it. Then my inflatable pad got a slow leak on night one of a trip near Stanley, so the foam pad was my only option on hard ground. Slept better that night than I had in weeks, no sliding around, no waking up to re inflate anything. I've now used it on 8 trips straight and the inflatable stays in the garage. Anyone else ditch their fancy pad for the dumb foam one?
