Rainy weekend in Asheville made me ditch my inflatable pad for good
Went camping near the Blue Ridge Parkway three weekends ago and it poured from Friday night straight through Sunday morning. My inflatable pad held air fine, but every time I shifted, the cold from the ground came right through the sides. By the third night I was sleeping on a folded emergency blanket under my hips just to get comfortable. Swapped to a closed-cell foam pad on the next trip and woke up actually warm for once. Anyone else switch pad types after one bad weather trip, or am I the last one to figure this out?
