Changed how I cut cardboard for forts - way faster now
I used to cut every single piece with box cutters and a straightedge, took me like 2 hours just to get the walls for a basic fort. But this week I tried my electric jigsaw on a stack of 10 boxes and it cut through them all in under 10 minutes. I just set the blade to fine tooth and clamped the stack together. Has anyone else tried power tools on cardboard or am I crazy for doing it?

My last fort attempt with a jigsaw ended with me accidentally cutting through the side of my shoe, so I feel your pain on the enthusiasm. I stacked six boxes once and clamped them, then my blade got too hot and started melting the cardboard into a sticky mess. Took me longer to clean the blade than it did to just use scissors. That said, for a quick wall section I'd probably still risk it, just with a fresh blade and a prayer. Just be careful you don't end up with melted cardboard on your floor like I did.

Tbh I stacked em up and used a utility knife with a long blade, sliced through like butter.
