Found out a fridge box only lasts 3 rainy days outside before it turns to mush
I built my grandson a rocket ship out of the box from our new fridge and left it on the back porch in Cleveland. Three days of rain later the whole nose cone had sagged into a sad wet flap. I read on a cardboard recycling site that corrugated board soaks up water fast once the outer liner gets nicked, and a single soak can cut its strength by about half. So now I keep a roll of packing tape and a cheap tarp handy for anything staying outside. Does anyone here seal their outdoor boxes with something tougher than tape, or do you just rebuild after every storm?
