Serious question, does anyone else skip tape and just use Elmer's on cardboard joints?
I used to tape every seam on my forts like everyone says. Last month I built a 4 foot castle for my niece and ran out of tape halfway through. Used Elmer's glue on the rest and it held better than any tape job I have ever done. Tape peels off after a week but the glue joints are solid after 3 weeks of a 6 year old climbing on it. Why does everybody push tape? Is there a reason I am missing or is this just what we all learned first? What are you all using for joints these days?
