That customer who watched me sand for 20 minutes then gave the best advice
Guy walks into my shop last Tuesday, no work to drop off, just stands there watching me sand a tabletop. I'm thinking he's waiting or lost or something. After 20 minutes he says 'your paper is shot, you're burning the wood'. He was right. I was on my 3rd pass with 80 grit and it was just polishing dust. He handed me a fresh sheet and said 'change it twice as often as you think you need to'. Charged him nothing, but that tip saved me an hour of rework on that job. Anyone else have a random stranger spot something you couldn't see after staring at it all day?
