Rant: guy at the supply house said he stopped gluing seams in hallways, now I'm second guessing myself
Was grabbing tack strip in Baltimore last Tuesday and this old timer said he switched to heat bond tape on every hallway seam about 5 years ago because glue kept popping in dry winter air. I've glued seams for 18 years and never had a callback, but he made me wonder if I'm just lucky with the homes I work in. Anyone here made that switch, and did it actually hold up on a stretch that gets foot traffic?

Dry winter air isn't why glue pops, it's moisture.
