That weird lens flare trick for cat pics on my phone was real, and I'm still annoyed about it
My friend kept telling me to wipe a tiny bit of Vaseline on my phone lens to get that soft glow on my cat pics, and I told her no way, that's just a filter thing people fake online. Then last Friday I tried it on a shot of my tabby Gus in the backyard and the halo around his fur looked like a real studio photo. Took 30 seconds and the whole meme got 40 more likes than my usual stuff. Now I'm eating my words. Does anyone know if the smudge trick works the same for those crying cat edits, or does it just make a mess on the glass?
