Took me 5 days to track down a ground fault that turned out to be a $3 outlet
My Level 1 charger kept tripping the breaker in my garage in Sacramento, and I wasted 5 days swapping chargers, testing the car at a friend's house, and even pricing out a panel upgrade before I found it. Turns out the old GFCI outlet on that circuit was worn out and tripping on its own, and a $3 replacement fixed it in 10 minutes. Why does nobody tell you to check the outlet first before you start cursing the car?
