Nope, I still miss my old El ride timing, the new schedules threw me off
After 12 years taking the Brown Line from Irving Park to the Loop, I had my commute timed to the minute. I knew which car to stand on to hit the stairs at Clark and Lake, and I could predict delays by the weather and Cubs home games. Then last spring they changed the headway schedules and my whole rhythm broke. I used to just show up and trust the rhythm, now I check the Transit app every single morning and still end up waiting longer on the platform. Last Tuesday I stood there for 14 minutes in the cold because I stopped watching the tracker. Has anyone else had their usual train habits get messed up by the updated schedules, or is it just me being stubborn about the old way?
