Job in Rochester Hills this past Tuesday: 11 units, one bird nest, and a flue that fought me for 3 hours
I swear this whole week has been one thing after another. Tuesday was supposed to be a quick run, 11 units at a complex in Rochester Hills, nothing I haven't done a hundred times. First three went fine, then unit 7 had a chimney swift nest packed in so tight the rods barely moved, and I burned two hours just getting it loose. After that the shop called and dumped two emergency calls on me because the other guy called in sick, so I didn't get home until almost 9. My shoulders are still trashed and I've got 8 more units on that same property next week. Anybody got a trick for those hard packed nests that doesn't involve half a day of rodding?
