Serious question, has anyone compared a sealed car bag to just a good cover for winter storage?
I helped my uncle put his 1971 Chevelle away in his garage in Madison last November, and we tried two setups side by side on his two cars. One got a $40 breathable cover, the other got a $200 sealed bag with desiccant packs. We checked both in March, and the bag car had zero condensation and the chrome looked the same as the day we parked it. The cover car had light surface rust on the rear bumper bolts and a musty smell inside. The bag took about 20 minutes to set up and needed the desiccant swapped once, but honestly the difference was not close. The cover car needed a full wipe down and a wash before it was even drivable. Anyone else had luck with bags long term, or did the plastic end up trapping moisture on you?
