Swapped to a battery tender after 3 dead winters, why did I wait so long
I always thought trickle chargers were overkill for my '72 El Camino since I start it monthly. Then my neighbor let me borrow his Battery Tender for one season and the crank sounded completely different come spring. Has anyone else seen a big difference just from keeping the battery topped off instead of running it every few weeks?

Monthly starts just keep the alternator busy, they don't really charge a battery back to full in my experience.
