Overheard a grocery clerk talk about food waste and it hit me different
The clerk also said they have a partnership with a local compost pickup but hardly anyone signs up for it. I checked my city's waste site and found out my neighborhood has a drop off spot about 10 minutes away. Never knew that, probably because nobody posts about it outside the city newsletter. Feels like a small switch but I'm curious if other folks have found ways to cut food waste that don't require a lot of effort, like freezing stems or using the whole vegetable top to bottom.
