Rant: The tool drawer that cost me a full Friday and a $180 end mill
Back in March at a shop near Toledo, I had a brand new 1/2 inch four flute end mill in the drawer but grabbed the old dull one by mistake because the tags had fallen off. Ran it through some 4140 at full depth and the damn thing snapped on the second pass, sending sparks across the whole machine. Has anyone else had a tooling organization system fail like this, or do you color code or engrave yours to keep it straight?
