TIL that drinking water all shift keeps my CNC work on point
I always thought hydration was for gym rats, not guys running machines. Then I had a week where I kept zoning out and almost scrapped a batch of stainless steel fittings. A coworker saw me rubbing my eyes and asked if I'd had any water besides coffee. I hadn't, so I tried keeping a jug at my station. After a few days, my head felt clearer, and my hands were steadier during tool changes. It turns out being dehydrated makes you slow and sloppy with the controls. Now I make it a rule to finish a bottle before lunch. Who knew something so basic could save so much rework?

Spot a pattern where the simplest habits prevent the biggest mistakes.

Totally agree, @tara15! Simple habits save us from so much trouble.

Hard disagree, that mindset can make people lazy. @tara15's pattern is often just luck, not a real rule. Sticking only to simple routines means you never learn to handle real complex messes.
