Ugh, that's the worst... feels like anything with a computer brain forgets its whole job after the power blinks. My smart thermostat did the same thing last week, just reset to factory defaults for no reason.

Honestly drives me nuts how much basic stuff just forgets itself now. My car radio loses all its presets if the battery gets low. The smart lock on my front door forgets its codes after a storm. Feels like we traded simple, reliable things for gadgets that have the memory of a goldfish the second the power flickers.
