Took me 6 hours to figure out a G-code offset that was off by 0.002 inch

Is 0.002 inch really worth six hours of your life though.

The guy in the video actually measures with a caliper that reads to 0.001 inch, so he's off by double that 0.002 number. I get being frustrated with a part that doesn't fit, but six hours of filing and sanding on something that's barely the thickness of a sheet of paper feels like overkill to me. You could've just taken a tenth of that time to run a single pass with a sharp scraper or even a good file and called it a day. Honest to god, my middle school kids would be done with that adjustment in twenty minutes flat if I handed them the right tool. Tbh, sometimes the pride of fixing something yourself makes you lose track of the clock.
