Spent $200 on a bootcamp course and it got me unstuck, but not for the reason I thought
About 4 months ago I paid $200 for a beginner Python course because I kept getting stuck on loops and giving up around day 3 every time I tried. The lessons themselves were fine but honestly not better than the free stuff I'd already found. What actually helped was that the course had a forum where you had to post your broken code and someone replied within a day or two. Having a real person point at line 14 and say 'your indentation got messed up when you pasted it' was worth the whole $200 to me. I only finished the first half before life got busy, but I went back and wrote my first working script that sorts my grocery list. Now I'm wondering if I should finish it or just start a small project and google my way through the rest. Did a paid course actually get anyone else past the beginner wall, or am I just bad at using free videos?
