Dropped my whole pour over at 6am on a Tuesday, here's what saved it

I was in my kitchen in Portland, half asleep, trying to brew before work. My ceramic V60 slipped right off the counter and shattered on the tile, coffee grounds everywhere. I had 15 minutes before I needed to leave and no backup brewer. So I grabbed a regular paper filter, folded it into a cone shape, stuck it in a mason jar, and just poured the hot water over the coffee directly. It took maybe 30 seconds longer and made a bit of a mess, but the coffee actually came out clean, no sludge. Has anyone else ever done this weird emergency cone trick, or do you all have a better backup plan for when the main setup breaks?
