Showerthought: a diner cook in Buffalo poured my espresso down the drain and now I order differently
Stopped at a little breakfast spot off Elmwood Ave in Buffalo back in March and asked for a double espresso with my eggs. The cook pulled a shot, looked at it, dumped it, and pulled another one before handing it over. He said the first one ran too fast and he wasn't serving me a bad cup. Now I watch the shot pull at every new place I try, and if the barista doesn't seem to care, I just order drip. Has anyone else had a random spot set the bar like that for them?
