Vent: The milk frother at my office has a secret language
Every morning for 3 months, I thought my coworker Dan was scalding milk on purpose because the foam came out with giant bubbles. Yesterday I finally watched him use it and he was holding the pitcher sideways, not tilted. The manual says 45 degrees, and the little whisk only works if the tip dips under the surface. He showed me his trick and now I get perfect microfoam in 20 seconds. Has anyone else discovered their office machine was fine but the person before them just didn't read the sticker?
Figured the same thing about our break room coffee maker for months, blamed the machine every time my drink came out weak and gross. Turns out I was just dumping the grounds in without letting the water heat up all the way first, which is literally step one on the little card taped to the side. Now I actually read the sticker before I touch anything in there.
