I thought the $18 day pass at the cafe near Union Square was a ripoff, then I did the math on my $6 drip refills
I rolled my eyes when this place in San Francisco started charging $18 for a day pass, because who pays that just to sit. But after 3 hours of buying $6 drip refills to avoid looking cheap, I'd already blown $24 and felt too guilty to use the bathroom twice. The pass gets you unlimited coffee, fast wifi, and outlets at every seat, plus nobody gives you side eye when you take a 40 minute call. Turns out the coffee shop owners aren't dumb, they just priced out the people who nurse one cup all morning. Does anyone know other spots around here doing a flat day rate, or am I stuck rotating cafes forever?
