My backup light died on a night inspection job
It went out right when I needed it most, leaving me in the dark. Always carry a third light and test them all before diving. What's your go-to gear check routine?

Backup light dying is the worst. I test primary and both backups before every night job. Check beam, strobe, and run them for a minute. Spare batteries in a waterproof case are key.
