I was using the wrong size pipe cutter on copper for years until a job in Cincinnati

The foreman saw my rough cuts and asked if I was trying to make extra work for the solder crew. I switched to a 4-inch cutter and the difference was instant. Anyone else have a simple tool swap that fixed a basic mistake?

Man, you ever grab the wrong size hole saw? I was using a dull one for years on electrical boxes. Made a mess of the drywall every time. Switched to a sharp, new one and it was like cutting butter. Clean holes, no extra patching.

Ever try a carbide grit one, @miller.jason?

Carbide grit hole saws are a total game changer for plaster or tile. I used one last month to put in a new bathroom vent. The regular bi-metal saw just walked all over the place and chipped everything. The carbide one bit right in and made a perfect circle. It costs more up front but you won't burn up three saws on one job.
