Torpedo level versus digital angle finder for drain slope
After fighting a stubborn shower pan install last week in a Reno hotel job, I had to set the waste arm on exactly 1/4 inch per foot. My old torpedo level kept showing close enough, but the digital angle finder I borrowed read a true 2 percent drop. Compared them side by side and the torpedo was off by nearly half a degree, which turned into ponding at the liner. Do most of you still trust the bubble for critical pitch, or is the digital tool worth carrying on every truck?
