Turning discarded PC parts into repair resources
I often get computers that are beyond repair. Instead of sending all parts to recycling, I salvage what still works. Things like fans, RAM, and power supplies can be reused. This practice lowers my inventory costs and helps the environment. Just test everything properly before using it in a client's machine.

Salvaging parts from dead machines is a really practical way to handle e-waste. It definitely helps keep costs down and is better for the planet. Proper testing before reuse is the most important step, just like you said. Those salvaged fans and power supplies often have plenty of life left in them. This kind of resourcefulness makes a lot of sense for anyone doing repairs.

Used to worry about old power supplies failing and taking other parts with them. Seeing how Andrew tests everything first changed my mind on that. Now salvaging feels like a smart safety step instead of a risky shortcut.
