Can we talk about the pour that went bad on a garage slab in Berwyn back in 2011
We were finishing a 24x30 garage slab on a hot July morning and the mix showed up way wetter than we ordered. I had two guys on bull floats and the edge was already setting up before we got halfway across. I called the plant, made them send a second truck with a stiffer mix, and we cut a cold joint right down the middle instead of fighting it. Looking back, the old timers would've just thrown more cement on top and troweled it in, but that joint has held fine for over a decade now. Anybody else had to eat a bad batch and make the call to cut instead of chase it?
