My neighbor called my herb pots "sad little sticks" and I'm still laughing about it
Last Saturday my neighbor Deb leaned over the fence, looked at my six windowsill herb pots, and said "those are some sad little sticks you got there." I'd spent $14 on seeds back in March and honestly, she was right, because I planted them way too early and they got leggy and weak. So I started putting them outside for an hour a day like some kind of plant boot camp, and after about 3 weeks they actually got thick and bushy. Now Deb wants to know my secret, and I told her it was her insult that did it. Anyone else got a cheap trick for saving leggy seedlings without buying fancy grow lights?
