TIL a dad at my kid's soccer game said his family only plays couch games with a 4 player cap, and now my whole setup makes sense
He said they tried an 8 player party game once and it fell apart by round two because half the kids couldn't see the screen and everyone kept shouting over each other. He said four is the magic number for his house in Fresno, and after that nobody ends up crying. I went home and looked at our game shelf and sure enough, the ones we keep coming back to all top out at four players anyway. So last Saturday I skipped the big party games and we did a 4 player run of a co-op beat em up, and it was the smoothest game night we have had in months. Two hours, no fights, even my youngest got a turn. Has anyone else found that a smaller group actually works better than cramming everybody in?
