My roommate left a passive aggressive note about my dishes, then I talked to her mom and everything made sense
So my roommate Jenna left a sticky note on the fridge last Tuesday that said 'not your personal cabinet' and I was ready to go off about it. Then her mom called while Jenna was at work and we got to talking, and her mom casually mentioned Jenna grew up in a house with 5 siblings where if you left a single plate out it got claimed by someone else. Suddenly the note was less about me and more about 20 years of food anxiety. I still think a note is a weird way to handle it but now I just text her when I'm gonna use the kitchen. Anyone else had a roommate thing that turned out to be way deeper than just dishes?
