Paid $80 for a USB killer tester, used it once, then deleted all my test notes
I bought a USB voltage and data tester to check random public charging ports at truck stops. First port I tested looked fine, but my laptop battery drained 15 percent in ten minutes anyway. I spent an afternoon logging readings into a spreadsheet, then realized my phone's own charge stats did the same thing for free. The tester sits in my glovebox now. Anyone else buy hardware that duplicates what their device already tracks?
