PSA: My niece showed me a phone trick in 30 seconds that saved me from scrolling my camera roll for 10 minutes
My niece was visiting my place in Portland last weekend and saw me swiping through my photo app trying to find one shot of a client logo I took at a coffee shop. She grabbed my phone, tapped the search bar in Photos, typed the word 'receipt' and every receipt pic popped up in about 2 seconds. I had no clue that search box could read what was actually in the pictures, not just the file names. I tried it later with 'dog' and 'bridge' and it nailed both times, even on blurry shots from 3 years back. Now I type one word and stop hunting through months of thumbnails. Does this only work on newer phones, or is there a setting I should check?
