Rant: my "smart" scale lied to me for a week straight
I was about to toss my WiFi scale after it kept showing the same weight for 6 days, even after a huge pasta dinner in Portland. Turns out the batteries were at 12% and it was dropping the Bluetooth sync to the app. Swapped in fresh AAs and it gave me 3 lbs less. Anyone else had a gadget act dumb just because of low power?
Read somewhere that low batteries mess with bluetooth range, so the scale keeps the last number instead of updating. Wild that 12% is enough to make it basically useless. Fresh batteries fixed mine too, though I felt a little betrayed by a device that costs more than my coffee maker.
