Coworker told me burn-in was a myth, my new buds say otherwise
A guy at work swore burn-in for headphones was total nonsense and that I was wasting my time. I kind of believed him, so I didn't bother with my new pair for a week. Then I left them playing overnight on a loop and the next day the bass actually had more punch and the highs weren't so sharp. It might be my brain adjusting, but the difference was real enough for me to notice. Has anyone else had a pair change noticeably after some hours of use, or am I just fooling myself?
You're just hearing what you want to hear, that's all it is. A speaker is a piece of metal and glue, it doesn't magically loosen up after a few hours of noise.
