Vent: My "upgraded" earbuds gave me a headache for 3 straight days before I figured out why

I bought a pair of Moondrop Chus last Saturday because everyone raves about the sound, but after 2 hours of listening I got this dull ache behind my ears that wouldn't quit. I finally checked the nozzle size and realized they're 6mm wider than my old earbuds, which was pushing on the wrong part of my ear canal. Has anyone else had new headphones hurt at first and then break in fine, or did I just buy the wrong size?

Honestly used to think bigger nozzles meant better sound, but nah.

That 6mm difference is huge when you think about how small your ear canal actually is. People don't realize that nozzle size is just as important as driver quality for comfort. You wouldn't wear shoes that are a half size too small for three days, so why do we do it with our ears? Did the Moondrop packaging actually list the nozzle diameter anywhere or did you have to dig around online to find that measurement? Because I swear most earbud companies hide that detail like it's a state secret.
