Question about fixing a visa issue in Chiang Mai
I spent 3 days running between immigration and a lawyer's office here in Chiang Mai just to sort out a simple visa extension. Has anyone else had a routine bureaucratic process turn into a multi-day headache?

I used to think these horror stories were just bad luck, but that "routine bureaucratic process" line really hit home. I had the exact same thing happen with a stupid work permit renewal last year - spent four days going back and forth between offices because one form had the wrong shade of blue ink or something. Now I just budget an extra week for anything official here (and bring snacks).

@seth_carr you're not wrong but it's actually black ink on most official forms, not blue. They threw mine back once because I used blue and the guy said it doesn't scan right or something. The snack thing is key though, I learned that after a whole afternoon waiting for a stamp that took 30 seconds.
