Had to choose between paver stones and concrete for my patio

Spent $400 on paver stones for my 10x12 backyard patio then cracked half of them trying to cut them with a rented saw. Now the whole thing is uneven and I'm kicking myself for not just pouring concrete like my neighbor suggested. Anyone else deal with a DIY project that cost more in mistakes than the cheap route would have?

Figure out what went wrong with the cut. Paver stones crack when the blade grabs too hard or you push too fast, not because they're bad material. Bet you could salvage most of them with a cheap angle grinder and a diamond blade, way cheaper than ripping it all up and pouring concrete now. Concrete is permanent too, imagine getting that wrong.

Is it really that serious though? Paver stones crack sometimes, it's just part of the deal with them. Seems like overthinking it to me.
