That cheap frother died on me after 3 weeks of use

I picked up one of those battery powered milk frothers from a discount store for like 8 bucks last month. It worked okay for the first week or so, blending up my instant coffee into a nice little foam. But last Tuesday morning I went to use it and the motor just made a sad grinding sound and stopped. The little whisk part still spins if I twist it by hand, so something inside broke loose. I ended up just shaking my coffee in a mason jar to get some froth going, which actually worked better than I expected. Has anyone else had a cheap frother give out on them quick? I'm wondering if I should just stick with the jar method or try a different brand that might last.

The motor burning out after three weeks is pretty common with those cheap frothers. The jar method is actually pretty solid for getting some foam going, and you saved yourself the frustration of another dead gadget. Might be worth sticking with the mason jar for a while and seeing if it grows on you.
