I set a timer for 5 minutes each night before bed and just threw stuff back where it belongs, no deep cleaning. Has anyone else tried a micro habit like this and actually stuck with it?

Does the timer actually help you stop before you start overthinking and organizing things that don't even need it? Cause I tried a similar thing but I'd get distracted and end up alphabetizing my spice rack for 20 minutes instead of just picking up the dog toys. Are you just throwing stuff back or do you have a specific system for where things go?

Oh man, the spice rack thing made me laugh because I once spent a full hour sorting my books by color (which is insane, I know) instead of just clearing the coffee table. I don't really have a system, I just grab stuff and shove it in the nearest drawer that won't make me feel guilty later.
