Pro tip: I thought that new ceramic foam filter for aluminum was just a gimmick.
My boss in Toledo made us try it last month, and our scrap rate from inclusions dropped by almost 15%. Anyone else seen results with these things?

No kidding! We switched over at our place in the spring. The difference in the castings is night and day. Way fewer surface defects, especially on the thinner sections. Our guys aren't fighting porosity like they used to.

Yeah, the drop in porosity was a game changer for our yield rates too.
