Pro tip: I just hit $5k in a month for the first time and it wasn't from a big client.

I mean, it was from a bunch of small, steady gigs I got through a local business network in Phoenix. I always thought I needed one or two huge projects to make real money, but this month showed me that a full roster of smaller, reliable jobs is way safer. Has anyone else found that a bunch of smaller clients actually feels more stable than chasing the big ones?

Totally. Chasing big contracts is stressful, smaller gigs keep the lights on steady.

Yeah but what about the creative drain? I've seen people get stuck in a cycle of small safe jobs and lose their edge for the bigger, more interesting work. The steady lights are nice, but does the work ever feel... small?
